THIS INFORMATION IS INCOMPLETE. If you do not have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, you must have 30 credits of accounting and 39 credits of “general business” (which is limited to specific topics). I met every requirement listed above, but only had 27 credits of general business; as a result, Michigan would not license me. I think this is extremely important for “non-traditional” candidates to know because you will want to hang y0urself when you get the letter telling you all of your hard work, the time you gave up studying for and passing the exams, the money you paid - it’s not good enough.

Hi, I am kinda in a confused position. I did my undergrad in Nigeria and masters in the US (majored in accounting all through). However, I am in the process of applying to see if I qualify to sit for the exam. But no place shows me what the very first application process is. I know I have to contact my school in Nigeria to send my transcripts to one of the foreign eval offices. However, I don't know if they send the results to MI CPA or they send it to me to attach to an application which I don't seem to see on any site how to begin the process. It's quite a confusing position. If you can tell me what the first step is I'd greatly appreciate it.- Anyi
